About the Branson ICMA!
"...A nation which forgets it's past, has no future..." - Sir Winston Churchill
Branson, Missouri - the "Live Entertainment Capitol" - features more than 100 shows of every genre & taste. Country, Comedy, Rock-N-Roll, Christian, Gospel, Big Band, Acrobatics, Illusions and more. The shows, museums, shopping, theme parks, lakes, events and festivals provide year-round entertainment to families from literally every corner of the globe. But in the early days of this music "mecca", before the "stars" built their own theaters and made guest appearances, it was the talents of two families that are attributed with laying the foundations for what we know today... the Mabe family, and the Presleys. The Mabes would entertain fishermen along the shores of Lake Taneycomo, and the Presleys performed in the caves of the region. As these two families were unsigned performers, or "Independent Artists", only those who frequented the area were familiar with the extraordinary talents of these performers. It was through the early efforts of the Mabes and the Presleys that made Branson what it is today.
The purpose of the Branson ICMA is to keep the tradition of Independent entertainment in the Ozarks, and around the world, alive and available. This is where musicians, song writers, performers, record labels and enthusiasts gather to be seen and heard through the resources of the Ozark Internet Radio Network and Branson World Radio. Heard in 43 States and 33 Countries around the world on the Internet, and by millions through broadcast radio affiliates, Branson's FIRST I-Radio Network has created the ICMA (Independent Coalition of Musicians and Artists) as a unique method for entertainers to market their works, while giving listeners and fans a means to enjoy their favorite music in it's truest form.
With five years of research and development, the Branson ICMA is now beginning to accept applications for membership. Member performers will become involved in an intense marketing effort which includes I-Radio and Radio play of their works, Product Distribution, audience interaction, e-marketing, and Live performances at ICMA events. Supporting Members (non-performers) will receive monthly newsletters about ICMA events and specials, entertainer news, Branson events, and the monthly "Music Lovers" e-catalog, which highlights the latest CD's and DVD's from ICMA Member Artists.
Help us preserve the spirit of Independent Music, and become a member today!
